A total of 11,179 hand tools will be donated to Habitat and distributed to its communities as a result of their successful “Buy 1 Give 1” nationwide social impact initiative last holiday season. These gifts in kind came on top of Handyman’s Php500,000 outright donation to Habitat to help rebuild homes for disaster survivors and underprivileged families. Simultaneously, Handyman also conducted its first volunteer engagement with Habitat. Over 40 employees and executives participated in the community service and painted 13 houses at Habitat II Townhomes.

Moreover, Handyman pledged to help advocate and raise funds for decent shelter via donation drive with Habitat’s ‘Plus Can’ program and acrylic boxes located across 40 Handyman branches in Metro Manila.

The Habitat-Handyman partnership started last September 2019 to celebrate Handyman’s 25th anniversary by giving back to the community. Since 1988, Habitat Philippines has supported over 150,000 Filipino families towards strength, stability, and self-reliance through building disaster-resilient homes and sustainable communities.
